Dopo Multiman arriva nelle nostre console un nuovo Backup Manager ( che poi tanto nuovo non è ), l'ideatore di tale Backup manager fu Hermes che aveva rilasciato un suo loader per il suo CFW 3.41 chiamato HManager ma D_Skywalk sfruttando il lavoro di Hermes prese in mano il loader e lo amplio facendogli prendere il nome di Iris Manager, ora dopo tanto tempo di assenza il loader e tornato con nuovi aggiornamenti molto interessanti tra cui la possibilità di avviare giochi PSX senza l'ausilio di quegli sporchi sfruttatori del Team Cobra che tramite il loro dongle era possibile avviarli, non mettiamo in dubbio che il migliore in assoluto sia Multiman ma in poco tempo tramite questo aggiornamento Iris Manager e diventato famoso in tutto il mondo e chiunque di noi lo ha istallato nella proprio console.
Eseguire Giochi Psx
1 - Creare una cartella PSXGames nella root dell' HD
2 - Inserire il gioco nell'hd
Il formato per avviare i giochi Psx deve essere .bin e .img ricordo inoltre che se un gioco si chiama Metal Slug.bin rinominatelo in METALSLUG.BIN il nome deve essere tutto attaccato.

Provatelo..era il mio preferito ai tempi di kmeaw..è di hermes,quindi estrema compatibilità con i giochi.gt5 solo con iris riuscivo a farlo partire.
L'ho provato e vi posso dire che che a livello di caricamento dei giochi è meglio di multiman...carica resident evil 6 da hdd esterno in due secondi:unsisi:;)

Grazie umbe, allora userò questo per caricare i backup e MultiMan come file manager e altre operazioni.
L'ho istallato anch'io,essenziale,niente fronzoli,e compatibile con multiman.
Li ho entrambi senza problemi,almeno per ora.
Irismanager si aggiorna e giunge alla versione 1.38

Qualche miglioria,anche se non eclatante,c'è.
Va bè io ne speravo ne pretendevo gran migliorie in un solo aggiornamento. L'importante è che le facciano, poi se rilasciano un aggiornamento al giorno ce ne faremo una ragione come abbiamo fatto con MultiMan

Sinceramente a me non va molto bene questo nuovo Homebrew...non mi trova tutti i giochi nel HDD, starò sbagliando qualcosa io ma preferisco continuare a tenermi multiman...

Dopo l’installazione tramite PKG, potete convertire Iris Manager in ITALIANO prelevando il seguente file ITALIAN.rar (http://www.mediafire.com/?vd1dt23c14hdcvs)
Sostituite (in FTP o file-manager) il file “linguage.ini” appena scaricato nel seguente percorso:
/dev_hdd0/game/IMANAGER4/config/language.ini
si installa sulla precedente, o si deve cancellare prima la vecchia versione?
Non è specificato che sia necessario togliere la versione precedente,quindi dovrebbe essere aggiornabile dalla precedente.

Adding PSX isos for Iris Manager 1.50+ :
- Create a PSXGAMES folder in root of HDD or USB devices
- Put the PSX game folder here. The name of the folder is used as game name from Iris Manager.
- PSX game files must be .bin or .img files (or BIN, .IMG) containing sectors of 2352 bytes. You can put from 1 to 8 “iso” files
- Iris manager get “isos” in alphanumerical order. When you launch a game with multiple isos you can rotate the order in one screen in the last moment.
- You can put a COVER.JPG file (max size of 1024 x 1024 pixels)
- PSX config is saved in the game folder.
Example of the game structure:

Iris Manager mount USB/ BDVD and HDD0 in this preference order to change virtually the disc. if one device can be mounted it is used for simulate EJECT/PUT the disc
if a game have two or more disc when the game ask for a disc change, unplug and plug USB device or eject and put the CD/DVD/BR disc to change of “iso” (to be sure when you “eject” it green led is blinking and when you put one “new” media green led is unblinking). The method is rotatory so when it use the last iso it turn to the first iso.
NOTE: You can use a BR disc without problem in the patched PSX Emu. Eject the media is unnecessary to play the game.

esattamente è come la penso io .........Dean è dipendente dei cobra e il suo manager pubblico non è altro che una demo rispetto a quello che può fare .

solo tramite disco fisico , non immagini iso,bin.img ecc.... tramite supporto esterno.

ho provato gran turismo 1 con relativo savegame , funziona alla grande
street fighter ex2 plus gira al 100% anche lui ....
domani testo altri titoli .....c'è ne ho parecchi in cantina che dovrei riprendere domani e fare delle belle immagini iso .
Per farla completa i multidisco ed arrivare allo swap... sarebbe la prova del 9

Ottimo lavoro da parte degli sviluppatori di Iris ;).
E' da un pò che sto usando iris manager e mi trovo benissimo, poi con questa nuova feature sarà ancora meglio! E' arrivato il momento di mettere a soqquadro il garage e trovare i giochi PSX:hihi:
Questo è un colpaccio,gli sviluppatori di iris hanno estratto un coniglio dal cappello grosso come un elefante.Io già lo usavo,e mi trovavo bene,ma questo è sicuramente una chicca.Di fatto si conferma che la concorrenza fa solo bene.

a sto punto non serve ne cobra e manco opencobra di Octoxor lol
Comunque Roby , lo swap è funzionante al 100% , ho cambiato disco (ISO) correttamente senza problemi
sono curioso ora di vedere Deank come risponderà a Iris Manager lol

io ho resident evil 1 PSx originale e devo dire che è inguardabile sulle attuali TV ,anche applicando il filtro non è che migliori tantissimo.
avviare iso PSX già e qualcosa di innovativo rispetto al multiman.
per i giochi PS2 credo che dovremmo dimenticarceli perche anche il cobra sulle ps3 non retrocompatibili fa cagare.

la vera scoperta per i ps2 non è caricare iso ma creare pacchetti pkg npdrm dai nostri dischi ps2 e farlo girare come gta san andreas dello store .

Semplificato il modo di caricare le iso psx, basta installare la nuova versione
create nella root del vostro hdd la cartella PSXGAMES, al suo interno una nuova cartella col nome dell gioco che verrà visualizzato dal manager e al suo interno la iso ottenuta del vostro gioco

Sembrerebbe di no, almeno stamattina così hanno detto. Io purtroppo sono molto occupato in questi giorni e non ho tempo per trovare i cd PSX e fare delle prove. Ma appena posso, devo giocare assolutamente a un evergreen (non so ancora quale:D)

comunque il mio consiglio è usare il ps1emu.self del 4.31 cioè l'ultimo ofw rilasciato da Sony
il pacchetto tutto incluso che avete postato ha l'emu del 4.21 ......... se vedete bene tra 4.21 e 4.31 nei file citati cambiano le dimensioni perchè Sony ha aggiornato gli emulatori .
Io preferisco usare quelli aggiornati che ho patchato io , alla fine la scelta spetta a voi.....

mi spiegate con che programma create le immagini .IMG o .BIN?
io ho utilizzane Nero,CLONE,ALCHOL120 ma nulla nessuno di questi programmi crea immagini con quella estensione.
ho provato ad utilizzare clone cd per creare un .IMG ma quando lo faccio partire mi compare l'icone della PSX e poi schermo nero.

basta creare una cartella esempio Tekken e all interno ci metti l'immagine iso del gioco e se vuoi anche la cover.jpg
non serve modificare/aggiungere nessun file?

bisogna solamente ripatchare i file ps1emu.self e libfs.sprx per poi inserirli nella cartella di irismanager ....

io ho fatto in questo modo
ho installato il programma
avvito
ho impostato lo schermo
ora impostate la cartella di default( io ho cliccato 2 volte no sia alla cartella games che a gamez alla fine creerà lui la cartella di default /dev_hdd0/game/IMANAGER4)
scaricate l'archivio messo a disposizione da Agrippa90 troverete all'interno 2 file metteteli nella cartella IMANAGER4 (utilizzate multiman)
Per i giochi dovrete creare la cartella PSXGAMES e al suo interno le cartelle con i gioghi scelti da voi ad Es:
PSXGAMES/Dragon Ball FB/Dragon Ball FB.img
io ho inserito anche il file .cue
Per le cover
PSXGAMES/Dragon Ball FB/COVER.jpeg(dimensione MAX 1024x1024)
testato e funzionante.

Added the default BD-Emu not mount the HDD: now you have two options, new and old, with a touch more later.
Some parts of the code have been retouched, if influence random crashes when starting the program.

Prova a fare così:

avvito
ho impostato lo schermo
ora impostate la cartella di default( io ho cliccato 2 volte no sia alla cartella games che a gamez alla fine creerà lui la cartella di default /dev_hdd0/game/IMANAGER4)
scaricate l'archivio messo a disposizione da Agrippa90 troverete all'interno 2 file metteteli nella cartella IMANAGER4 (utilizzate multiman)
Per i giochi dovrete creare la cartella PSXGAMES e al suo interno le cartelle con i gioghi scelti da voi ad Es:
PSXGAMES/Dragon Ball FB/Dragon Ball FB.img
io ho inserito anche il file .cue
Per le cover
PSXGAMES/Dragon Ball FB/COVER.jpeg(dimensione MAX 1024x1024)
testato e funzionante.

nel file rar trovi questo file:

poi metti i file di agrippa nella cartella di default.
Ragazzi volevo giocare col mio buon vecchio Metal Slug X ma non parte. Ho installato l'ultima versione di Iris, e ho inserito i file patchati da Agrippa tramite il file manager di MultiMan. Sull'HDD (in questo caso una pennetta) ho creato la cartella "PSXGAMES" e al suo interno ho creato la cartella "Metal Slug X", dove ho messo:
- COVER.jpg
- Metal Slug X.bin
- Metal Slug X.cue
infatti su Iris vedo l'icona del gioco con tanto di cover. Quando vado ad avviarlo mi porta alla XMB ma il gioco caricato resta quello del BD originale. Perchè? Non è che è sbagliata l'estensione del gioco? jiro per esempio ha il file del gioco Dragon Bal lFB.img

io di solito non lascio mai spazi al nome dei file .........ad esempio su metal slug x metterei MSLUX.BIN tutto maiuscolo ed eliminerei il .cue

io penso che a breve vedremo qualche altra sorpresina ......sono a lavoro developer importanti in questo momento e come già sappiamo qualcosa di concreto oltre al supporto ps1 uscirà alla fine ......
io spero in un emu psp funzionante al 70% e ps2 mi accontento anche del 40% (visto che non ha un emulatore eccellente nel firmware e richiede il componente hardware)
almeno il team del cobra và a farsi benedire una volta per tutte.

ragazzi mentre vedevo un film nella mia stanza , la mia ps3 in cucina (attaccata all altra tv) è rimasta accesa per questo test , bè 1 ora spaccati Iris mi dà un messaggio in inglese dicendo che il sistema sta per spegnersi a causa di inattività ..........quindi è tutto normale , non vi fate problemi se vi capita!!

si,c'e una procedura da fare,e nella tua play introduci la funzione disc-less!! basta mettere un dispositivo usb,in una delle porte usb della play e viene simulato il lettore bluray.;)

Ottima mossa quella di implementare fan control :)
Purtroppo in questo periodo non ho molto tempo da dedicare alla ps3, quindi non posso provare personalmente questa utility. Però in rete ne parlano molto bene

Anche a voi e cambiato il led da verde a giallo? :asd: dovrebbe essere per il controllo delle ventole..
Ha quel codardo di multiman non si vuol avviare... :facepalm2: ho istallato questo e si avvia.... non vorrei dirla ma la dico :asd: ma non e che multiman a qualche difettuccio ... :asd: ... andava tutto bene dopo 3 giorni che non usavo la ps3 questo non ne vuole più sapere di avviarsi
Per quanto riguarda i led, hai ragione: cambia in base alla temperatura della ps3. E' giallo fino a 70° ed indica una buona temperatura, mentre si fa verde quando supera i 70°
Bhé la questione dei led é una cosa fighissima xD non vedo l'ora di testarlo :)

Raga scusate, ma ho dimenticato come si cambia disco per i giochi psx multidisco. Se non ricordo male si dovevano mettere i due file immagini nella stessa cartella, e poi?

A Metal Gear Solid. Arrivo al punto che mi dice "inserire disco 2", ma come si fa?
EDIT: Forse ho trovato una guida in giro per la rete che dice di togliere e rimettere la periferica USB per consentire lo swapping dell'immagine del backup. Domani provo e vi faccio sapere. Notte

se ricordo bene bene devi inserire nella stessa cartella i due file immagine chiamandoli rispettivamente 1 e 2 o a e b esempio:
MGS1 (sarebbe il CD1 ) e MGS2 (sarebbe il CD2),oppure MGSCD1 e MGSCD2 ,come vuoi tu l'importante che siano numerati.poi nel momento in cui ti chiede il cd 2 stacchi e riattacchi hdd o la penna usb.
Sisi ho provato adesso, la corretta procedura è come ha descritto jiro. In pratica bisogna:
1) Mettere nella stessa cartella PSXGAMES i due file immagini (Es: PSXGAMES-->MSG-->msg1.bin e msg2.bin)
2) Al momento della richiesta di cambio disco bisogna staccare la periferica USB e aspettare che il led verde diventi lampeggiante
3) Reinserire la periferica USB e attendere che il led verde ritorni fisso. A quel punto parte tutto in automatico
Provato anche con multiman e la procedura è la stessa

grazie per la conferma.
E' uscita una nuova versione di Iris Manager che arriva così alla 2.52, e supporta tutti i cfw dal 3.55 al 4.50
